new photos

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

With the weather today, it’s hard to believe just a couple days ago I was crunching around in the snowy woods, bundled up and shivering.  I had made plans with a friend to spend the day shooting with some new studio equipment she had purchased, but when we saw the new fluffy snow and sunshine, she called a friend with 10 acres who’s willing to share and off we went.  It was a great day.. met a really interesting new person and got to enjoy her great outdoors.  A real treat!  Anyway, here’s one of the photos from that day… and one from a day last spring taken at Winterthur.  You see, even though I loved the snowy outing, I still dream of spring!

Quiet Time

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Yes, we’ve been quite quiet for the past month or so.  Sad to say, it’s with good reason.  My mom passed away suddenly just before Christmas.  She was a big supporter of my photography and me, and she will be very much missed.  I haven’t taken a photo since that event, but hope to get back out there soon.  This photo of my mom was taken last spring as she accompanied me on a day of pretty pics at Hershey Gardens.  It was a great day that we both really enjoyed and I’ll treasure it always.

Found our photo of Murphy in the garden in use with an article about cat care.  It’s an example of how photos purchased from istock are used.

Garden Plants Toxic to Cats

Tuesday November 25, 2008
It should be said that most cats will not eat plants outdoors, as long as grass is available. However, occasionally, out of boredom or curiosity, a cat may nibble a leaf or stem. From personal experience, I have shared my home at one time or another with over 40 cats, and I have yet to lose one from ingesting harmful plants.Still, if you’re of the “safe rather than sorry” frame of mind, as I usually am, you need to know which plants are potentially harmful, and by what degree.

Pictures shown on the following pages depict some of the more popular plants toxic to cats. This is not an exhaustive list – for that, see the ASPCA’s Toxic Plants List. Let’s take a walk through this lovely but potentially lethal garden for cats.

Our own little Frankenstein… this website.  I feel like we’ve been piecing it together for sometime now and finally today, we rolled it out.  Thanks to Brian at South Jersey Websites for putting up with all the questions and kicking and stomping feet.  And thanks to everyone who helped edit along the way!
